One of the most exciting aspects of life within Young Farmers is the ‘YFC Competitions Programme’.

Each year the members of the six Clubs within Cambridgeshire compete against each other to win the prestigious ‘Melbourn Challenge Cup’. This cup is awarded to the Club gaining the highest number of points in YFC competitions throughout the year and is presented at the ‘Rally Disco’ each June.

The 2010/2011 programme has included such competitions as a General Knowledge Quiz, Call My Bluff and Ten Pin Bowling held during the autumn and a Mock Agricultural Auction, Stock Judging, Team Cookery and Fence Erecting held in the spring. The competition year culminates in the competitions held at the Cambridgeshire County Show, which allow the members to demonstrate their many talents.
