Stock Judging
An annual county event, which is well attended by all the clubs in the area, the competitors are asked to judge the quality of meat that would be obtained from 4 animals if they were to be slaughtered the next day. They must present their order and the reasons behind this to an expert. The animals to be judged in 2007 were Lambs, Pigs, Suckler Cows and Beef cattle along with showing their skills with chicken plucking and rabbit skinning. There were 3 age categories for each club to enter, Junior (10-17,) Intermediate (18-21,) and senior (22-26.)
